Job SummaryAre you passionate about shaping the urban landscape? We're seeking a dynamic Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead our innovative projects in our northeastern region. As a pivotal member of our team, you'll take the helm in driving forward our roads and highways initiatives, overseeing and guiding project teams through challenging and thrilling endeavors. Your expertise will shape infrastructure throughout northeastern US, blending innovation and precision to create sustainable and efficient transportation networks. Join us in redefining transportation infrastructure while making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Highway Design engineering teams to develop highway designs and develop contract documents.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff.

  • Collaborate with project managers and the unit manager to establish scopes of work.

  • Develop production work plans and schedules.

  • Develop contract specifications and bid estimates.

  • Implement rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.

  • Ensure proper codes and standards are being used on projects.

  • Train and mentor staff under their supervision.

  • Other related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.

  • Requires 12 years of relevant experience in Highway Design and experience as a senior-level engineer with leading a team of staff.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of PA or NJ is preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of highway design and analyses, with experience in utilizing software applications (e.g. MicroStation, Inroads, etc.) with minimal to no guidance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Positive, self-driven attitude.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize assigned tasks.

  • Candidates should also have a consistent and successful track record in working with Transportation & Transit Agencies in the northeast - Penn.DOT, SEPTA, NJDOT, NJTA etc.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
