While the primary work responsibilities will focus on Buffalo, NY to support a number of water infrastructure projects and community activities under the Program, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work under the direction of TYLin's Equity Practice Leader to support the Equity Practice Group's key clients for community-centered water, wastewater, and climate projects nationally. The candidate will also build upon TYLin's ongoing effort to grow the Equity Practice a community-informed planning strategy for the positioning of new client/community opportunities.

• Planning and Engineering design and consulting for complex assignments, including conditions assessments, project site visits, report preparation, hydraulic calculations, utility plans, and technical specifications.
• Preparation of design and construction documents for wastewater and water facilities, climate resiliency projects, and conveyance/treatment projects.
• Data collection to establish/progress equity indicators, vulnerability studies, and impact reporting.
• Regular meeting and presentation of project deliverables to clients.
• Support development and facilitation of community engagement and public education materials and workshops. Plan and organize stakeholder engagement and community partnerships to build community networks.
• Supporting grant writing and funding procurement for infrastructure and community projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Experience: preferred 1-5 years experience in water and wastewater design/engineering and climate resiliency infrastructure consulting - performing studies, design, and construction services for municipal clients. Demonstrated experience developing designs and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects preferred but not required.

TYLin is committed to Pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $75,000 - $112,600 annually for this position and local market.
