DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The CAD Design Intern will be responsible for collaborating with various engineering disciplines to layout and design in the areas of process mechanical, pipelines, civil site development, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and instrumentation and control for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and pipelines. This intern will coordinate CAD/BIM efforts on complex design projects of medium to large scale.

• Will use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and Constuction drawings.
• Learn new software design programs.
• Become familiar with firm's practices, procedures and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic working knowledge with CAD
• Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
• Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, are able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
• Experience with MS Office Suite including Word, and Excel.
• Experience in the following considered an asset; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ACC, ProjectWise, and/or Bentley MircroStation.
