Job Summary

Supports the establishment of an Enterprise Service Desk, which includes developing necessary documentation, setting up lab space to facilitate operations requirements, and providing operations support to end users.
Travel is required. 

Responsibilities and Duties

Monitors network status using available situational awareness capabilities to identify potential user issues that may occur. Monitors C2IE for Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) and SEM activities impacting user operations. Performs advanced analysis on trouble tickets and support triage and troubleshooting support. Coordinates with DISA GSD and ESGS on potential root causes and fix actions. Coordinates and performs network characterization testing with DISA when necessary. Develops/updates fault tree diagrams based on issues experienced. Attends FRBs and provides “User Experience” input for designated failures. Provides technical documentation as required. Develops metrics and trends on common issues to support improved network troubleshooting across the enterprise. Provides advanced network access process information to supported users.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least five (5) years of experience performing network operations and diagnosing issues within network architectures. Must have demonstrated knowledge of MUOS network connectivity and the processes for accessing NIPRNET and SIPRNET resources. Must have demonstrated understanding of Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) network connectivity and the processes for accessing NIPRNET and SIPRNET resources. Candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills. Should be skilled with all Microsoft Office products.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems, preferred. 

Certifications

CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security

Clearance Requirement

Secret

Salary

The minimum salary starts at $110,000, and the max is negotiable based on experience.
