S3, Inc. has an immediate need for an Operations Lead in the SHIELD Projectat Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Description:

The Operations Lead will join the SHIELD Project Office within the Program Executive Office Missiles & Space (PEO M&S). This role involves crucial responsibilities such as developing acquisition strategies, preparing work statements, creating evaluation plans, and aiding in vendor qualification.

The Operations Lead will assist in the budget preparation process, support Senior Acquisition Executive (SAE) oversight, and influence decision-making activities. The role also includes extensive program execution oversight and maintenance, and enhancement planning, scheduling, and management activities.

Responsibilities:

· Provides expert, independent services and leadership in specialized technical areas for problem definition, analysis, and requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the subject matter area.

· Assist in developing and refining acquisition strategies and work statements.

·Participate in the preparation and defense of budgets, ensuring alignment with program goals and compliance with governmental guidelines.

·Analyze and recommend enhancements to program documentation, phase transition plans, and overall program execution strategies.

·Conduct in-depth research and analysis on program trends, identify potential issues, and devise effective solutions.

·Manage updates to program documents, advise on funding allocations, and establish program goals, objectives, and schedules.

·Track program compliance, identify deviations in program direction, assess impacts, and recommend corrective actions.

·Utilize quantitative analytical techniques to evaluate system acquisition processes, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

·Engage in the development of acquisition plans, source selection documents, independent Government Cost Estimates, and other essential procurement documentation.

·Collaborate effectively with project office personnel to ensure coordination and efficient program management.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, of which at least 5 years must be specialized.

·Secret security clearance or higher or have the ability to obtain a clearance.

·Proficiency using MS Office Suite for analysis, research, and document management.

·Demonstrates the ability to communicate orally and in writing.

·Demonstrates the ability to work independently or under only general direction.

·Operational support and strategic planning of defense programs similar to the SHIELD Project Office and M-Shorad initiatives.

·Prefer experience coordinating technical and programmatic activities across functional groups within a defense project office.
