CLOUD APPLICATION ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT – W2 ONLY HYBRID TO RESTON, VA
Primarily remote with infrequent office visits for meetings and workshops
Local to DMV ALTA IT Services has a 12 month contract opening for a Cloud Application Architect V to support a Reston, VA-based financial services customer. This is a hybrid position to Reston, VA. The role is primarily remote with infrequent office visits for meetings and workshops. Candidates must be local to the DMV area.
This candidate will be working on API products - enterprise architecture - tech documentation, visualization, working with product owners, huddles, etc. working with technical stakeholders to get through governance, meeting customer’s needs, very well versed with cloud, GCP would be preferable.

Seeking at least 8 years of experience in application architecture, design patterns, and cloud patterns.
8 years of experience with architectural patterns, building APIs, microservices, and high throughput systems.
8 years building cloud native architectures, architecting enterprise applications on AWS.
10 years architecting resilient and reliable back-end systems in production.

The Application Architect V will perform architecture planning in support of general IT initiatives related to API products. The role will focus on requirements & design phases, support development, testing, and issue escalation. The role will manage and promote the use of IT standards, serve as subject matter expert to projects and provide support for project team members. The candidate may be required to lead a small team of developers, perform architecture designs, and solve complex module and system level application issues.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 years of software development, solutions architect, or architect experience
At least 8 years of experience designing, developing, and architecting enterprise systems.
At least 8 years of experience in application architecture, design patterns, and cloud patterns.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
8 years of experience with architectural patterns, building APIs, microservices, and high throughput systems.
8 years building cloud native architectures, architecting enterprise applications on AWS.
10 years architecting resilient and reliable back-end systems in production.
2 years’ experience leveraging DevOps and CI/CD pipeline solutions using tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, AWS CloudFormation templates, and GitHub (nice to have)
