DUTIES:

As a Phlebotomist at our facility, you will be expected to:

  • Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain a blood sample for laboratory testing.
  • Set up, label, and prepare specimens for transportation to ensure compliance with professional standards.
  • Verify patient identification and maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform data entry and maintain records for future reference. 
  • Provide empathetic patient care and maintain patient comfort during procedures.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines at all times, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the workspace.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To qualify for the role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminologies and common laboratory procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including data entry and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest patient care and quality standards.
  • 18 years old and above
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
