This position is beingrolled out in 3 phases to ensure compatibility for our boutiqueconsulting firm.

As a Managing Business DevelopmentConsultant youll contribute to our firms growth by supporting business developmentefforts within the private equity and venture capital industry.

Your role involves driving our growth leveraging yourexisting network and relationships within the industry establishing newclient leads and identifying andclosing highvalue consulting engagements with institutionalinvestors.

Compensation / RoleStructure :

Phase 1 is a remote commissiononlycontract position.Compensation is based solely on successfully closing new clientengagements for SMG as a percentage of new client retainers whichrange from $50K to $1M per engagement.

You will be expected tosuccessfully close a $50K consulting engagement with a new clientwithin the first 30days of joining Synergy Management Group leveraging yourexisting network and relationships within the institutionalinvestor (private equity & venture capital)industry.

Phase2 For engagementsupervision of new client engagements that you generatecompensation will be $125$500 perhour.

Phase3 Uponsuccessfully closing several new client engagements compensationcan transition to a more traditional model( e.

g. basesalary / monthly retainercommission).

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Develop and executetargeted business development strategies to secure consultingengagements ranging from $50K to $1M with institutional investors(private equity & venture capital) within our four mainservice areas (refer to : ).
  • Leverage your existing networkand relationships and support the identification of new businessopportunities within the private equity industry contributing tolead generation efforts.
  • Contribute insights and solutionsto clients based on your understanding of the private equitylandscape.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 10 yearsof seniorlevel experience within the management consulting andprivate equity industry at toptier or boutique firms (e.

g. McKinseyBoston Consulting Group Bain & Company KPMG PwC DeloitteBlackstone KKR Carlyle Sequoia Kleiner Perkins Accel Goldman SachsJ.P. Morgan Morgan Stanley).

  • Extensive network andrelationships within the institutional investor ecosystemparticularly in the private equity and venture capitalsectors.
  • Proven track record ofidentifying and closing $50K$1M consulting engagements withinstitutionalinvestors.
  • Strong business developmentskills with the ability to convert leads into successful clientengagements.
  • Excellent communicationnegotiation and interpersonalskills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within therole.
  • Ability to work independently andcollaboratively within ateam.
