SynergenX is Hiring a Chief Financial Officer Onsite Near Houston, TX

SynergenX is seeking a CFO to add to our growing high performing company!

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the CEO, and a vital position on our executive team, The Chief Financial Officer has an opportunity to significantly contribute to the company's continued growth as a member of the executive management team. Establish and direct financial and operational strategic goals, financing and investing activities, financial policies, and action plans to meet business objectives. Responsible for the financial health of the company and for delivering financial performance according to the annual budget and long-term financial and operational strategies. Responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of all company entities. The CFO will report to the CEO and the Finance Committee of the Board of Partners/Directors.

Principal Duties:

Planning

  • Primary architect for formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives through development of a Company-wide strategic plan
  • Develop and execute financial and tax strategies
  • Develop performance measures/metrics that monitor progress towards the company's strategic direction
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Monitor implementation of strategic business plans
  • Coordinate preparation of annual operating, capital, and cash flow plan for approval by Board of Partners/Directors
  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports

Cash Management

  • Responsible for cash management, cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Manage capital request and budgeting processes
  • Manage financing and investing activity (debt financing, fleet leasing, and real estate leasing)
  • Lead capital raising efforts
  • Maintain productive relationships with those in the financial communit
  • Manage all partner relations including Partner meetings, distributions, succession planning, internal valuations, capital contributions and buybacks

Operations

  • Responsible for managing Companywide: Accounting, Billing, Information Systems and Procurement functions and personnel
  • Lead development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled, flexible organization with effective fiscal management, project management, cross-team communication, and workflow
  • Manage the accuracy and issuance of financial and project information including Company-wide KPI's
  • Manage the Company wide distribution of recurring and relevant financial information and analysis
  • Manage employee benefit plans with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
  • Manage external tax accounting firm in the preparation of partnership tax returns
  • Manage external auditor process
  • Manage all outsourced functions and maintain relationships with third parties
  • Other duties may be assigned

Risk Management

  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the Company's risk profile
  • Assist in the review of draft contracts as necessary and provide liaison to corporate counsel
  • Maintain corporate insurance coverage needs
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA / MBA
  • 10-15 years' CFO experience
  • 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience
  • 5 years in healthcare as CFO executive level HIGHLY preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a thorough understanding of accounting software platforms (Sage Intacct); Microsoft Excel (F9 or similar add-in a plus), Power point, and Microsoft Word. Additionally, a comprehensive understanding of practice management software (Advanced MD) is a plus.
