A well-established local manufacturer is searching for a Maintenance Technician. As a direct report to the Plant Director, this individual will be responsible for repairing equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting on engineering projects as needed.
The right candidate will have 2 years of machining experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to diversify their skills. This person will report to the Plant Director on trouble-shooting, maintenance, and repair duties to keep plant machinery and equipment in proper operating condition.
Additional duties may include:
- Perform equipment changeover's based on production schedule
- Utilize machining expertise to perform preventative and technical maintenance on production equipment as well as plant and building facilities
- Assist with equipment rebuilding activities
- Electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting
- Assist production operators with machine set-ups
- Create requisitions for parts used in the maintenance area
- Maintain machine shop tools and equipment
Job Requirements
Details:
* 2 years of related experience in packing machines/production machines
* High School Diploma, GED, or higher a plus
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to work under pressure
* Experience with heavy machinery is a plus
Physical requirements:
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
* Able to stand for long periods of time
* Able work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out
