Job Duties : -Perform first-article inspection for sheet metal, welded and painted parts-Ensure conformance to all specifications, customer requirements and company practices-Perform receiving inspections in incoming products-Issue internal and supplier non-conformance reports for defective parts-Assist with customer complaints during the investigative process-Assist with calibration and preventative maintenance programs-Recommend changes to SOPs, blueprints, production standards to improve operations performance-Record and maintain data throughout the inspection process-Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications-Follow instructions as provided by supervisor-Adhere to all company safety regulations and support safety policies and improvements-Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment-Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areaRequirements : -Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, purchase orders, spec sheets and bill of materials is required-Basic understanding of sheet metal, welding and machining processes is preferred-Basic understanding of ISO quality systems and operations is preferred-Ability to use standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauge) is required-Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail is required-Proficiency in Microsoft products is required-Ability to work overtime when preferred-Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and / or walk for duration of shift is required-Ability to read, hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool is required-Ability to lift 45 pounds is required-Capable of working in a manufacturing environment is requiredPay Rate 21.
