Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The in-house Painter assists and works under the direct supervision of the Director of Capital Projects and/ or the supervising Property Manager. This position will be responsible for completing large and small scale painting projects such as hallways, doors, office and amenity repainting and touch ups. The first assigned project will be at our community 88twenty with an approximate 6-month scope completing interior hallway corridor repainting and doors. Upon completion, the next project within the Houston portfolio will be assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

• Check walls, patch and/or repair as necessary
• Check condition of wallpaper, repair and/or replace when necessary.
• Maintain written status board and use provided check list.
• Paints all assigned surfaces per project scope, as assigned by Director of Capital Projects/Property Manager, using drop cloths to protect company and personal property.
• Performs all repairs related to interior walls and doors (i.e., patch sheet rock, tape and float, shoot acoustics, apply texture, sand re-varnish doors).
• Paints and touches up common areas as needed or scheduled by supervisor.
• Maintains adequate stock of materials, notifying supervisor when to reorder in a timely manner.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good safe working order.
• Incorporates both safety and customer service in the performance of all job duties.
• Maintains consistent and punctual attendance record.
• Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate or GED
• Paint sprayer and/or maintenance experience required
• Apartment Make Ready experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License
