Low Voltage Technician Job Description

Symtech Solutions is a provider of healthcare communication solutions including nurse call, wander prevention, infant protection, public address paging, among others, to long term care facilities and hospitals in PA, NJ, DE, MD & D.C. We are IMMEDIATELY seeking a full-time Low Voltage Field Technician with 3-5 years low voltage cabling and systems experience. Geographic area for this position is Baltimore and surrounding areas.

Low Voltage Technician Requirements

· Cabling experience in a commercial environment

· Dependable

· Able to work independently

· Aptitude for learning new technologies and low voltage systems

· Strong work ethic and ability to work with others

· Clean driver’s record and reliable transportation

· Clean background and drug clearance

· Able to work on ladders for above ceiling cabling for extended periods

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Low Voltage Technician Education and Experience

· 3-5 years experience with low voltage communication products/services, including cabling, terminations and testing (nurse call experience a major advantage!)

· Working knowledge of data networking, computer setup, installation and use of PC

· Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and blueprints

· BICSI certification is a plus

· Previous employment working in healthcare facilities is a plus.

Low Voltage Technician Compensation and Benefits

· Position is full-time.
