Our technology group professionally installs structured cabling, live streaming, audio/visual systems, phone systems, surveillance systems and all forms of building automation all over Baltimore and the surrounding counties. Most of our projects are schools & hospital work.Apprentice Role and Responsibilities - (Full-Time with benefits & paid schooling)

- Willingness to successfully enroll in state recognized apprenticeship program. (Go to www.iecchesapeake.com to register )
- Work full time under a technician performing and learning low voltage while attending virtual class two nights a week to earn your Technician Certification/Bicsi
- Follow the direction of the Technology Team (Foreman, lead tech or Project Manager)
- Willingness to learn and perform tasks related to Structured Technology cabling, CAT6 cable, Fiber Optics, Data Rack construction, Cabling Terminations, installation of Security Cameras, Door Access, Sound Systems and Streaming Systems.
- Assist in Lifting, Positioning, and Fastening objects such as cabling raceway, speakers, projection screens, specialized mounts and pulling cable through conduit.
- Assist making cable terminations and various testing to ensure compliance with company and manufacturers standards.
- Ability to add and use apps/email on your cellular phone to access schedules or project information.
- Maintains tools and equipment, keeps supplies and parts in order, general housekeeping of work site, warehouse, and company vehicles.
- Responsibly adhere to all safety policies and procedures of the company and of our customers.
- Attend all required company meetings and training classes as directed by Foreman and Project Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Project Manager
- Must be 18 years old
- Have a Valid Drivers License and ability to safely drive to work sites.
- Able to pass background checks and drug tests.
- Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
- Able to use power tools such as electrical/battery operated drills, circular saws, screwdrivers, etc.
- Able to safely use a ladder up to 12 feet and safely work at heights up to 30-50 feet on scaffolding, lifts and other platforms.
- Able to walk, stand, climb, bend, stoop, crawl throughout workday.
- Able to work up to 10 hours a day, inside and outside in various weather conditions.
