In a nutshell:

The Senior Accountant will be a key role in the company's month-end-close process and will have exposure to the full cycle of accounting. This person will be a communicative and collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail, who is eager to support our team with all aspects of our accounting processes.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with month-end close process and preparation of journal entries
• Reconcile, adjust, and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Review accounting reports for accuracy and completeness
• Perform variance analysis and Prepare/Review Financial Statements
• Prepare Payroll Reconciliations
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Workpapers
• Prepare yearly withholding tax forms
• Assist the Accounting Manager with special projects as needed

What you need to have:

• Bachelors in accounting required
• 6 years of professional accounting experience (2 years public accounting experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel) skills required
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Superb attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent written and communications skills required
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Strong work ethic and sense of accountability 
• Self starter and highly motivated
• Critical thinker with problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize
• Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
• Must be able to operate and succeed remotely, communicating often with team members / other departments (via video-conference, phone, email, Slack, etc.), and responsibly achieving goals without being managed in person
• Integrity and honesty

What will set you apart:

• Mixture of private and public accounting experience
• Previous Quickbooks and Oracle/NetSuite software experience preferred
• Ability to read and write in Spanish
• Evidence of success in previous / current positions that are similar to this position
• Excellent professional references

Additional information:

• Position reports to the Accounting Manager
• Position will report to Company HQ in Tampa, Florida, but will have the ability to work remotely
