Our programs in Academics, Athletics, and the Arts are taught by local professionals who dedicate their time to reinvesting their skills and knowledge and giving back to the young people. Covering 10 different areas, we offer many different programs that youth can choose from. **Overview:**

We are seeking a passionate and experienced guitar teacher to join our summer camp staff. The guitar teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging guitar lessons to students, fostering their musical skills and creativity in a fun and supportive environment.

**Responsibilities:**

• Plan and teach daily guitar lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Develop lesson plans that cover fundamental techniques, music theory, and repertoire appropriate for beginner and intermediate guitarists.
• Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students to support their musical growth and development.
• Organize and maintain guitars and other equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available for lessons.
• Lead group rehearsals and ensemble activities to give students opportunities to play music together and build teamwork skills.
• Incorporate music games, activities, and improvisation exercises to keep lessons engaging and interactive.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore their musical interests and express themselves through guitar playing.
• Collaborate with other camp staff to integrate guitar lessons into overall camp programming and special events.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members regarding lesson schedules, student progress, and upcoming performances.
• Prepare students for end-of-session performances or showcases to celebrate their achievements and showcase their musical talents.
• Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm for music, and a dedication to teaching.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of music spaces and equipment as needed.
