At the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village, our mission is to cultivate leadership capacity. We offer free year-round programming to youth ages 5-17 in the Chicago, IL area. Our programs in Academics, Athletics, and the Arts are taught by local professionals who dedicate their time to reinvesting their skills and knowledge and giving back to the young people. By developing and investing in youth, we desire to transform Chicago into a just and equitable city. Our doors are open to everyone! Covering 10 different areas, we offer many different programs that youth can choose from. The 10 areas include: MUSIC | ART | MEDIA | HEALTH & WELLNESS | SPORTS | PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION | TEEN CLUB | SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified music therapy teacher to join our summer camp team. The music therapy teacher will be responsible for using music-based interventions to address the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds in a supportive camp environment.
