Sycamore Montessori Schoolhouse is Hiring a Montessori Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher (PT) Near Fishers, IN
Sycamore Montessori Schoolhouse is seeking an assistant teacher in the infant/toddler class. In class, you will be working alongside a trained and credentialed lead teacher that will train you.
Schedule:
- Hours: 8 AM and 1 PM beginning in June on Mondays and Wednesdays, possibly adding Fridays. In August, this will be an everyday position with every other Friday off.
- A second assistant will be needed in August from 12 PM to 5/5:30 PM.
The ideal candidate will be organized, friendly, patient, timely, and caring. Past childcare experience is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to candidates with a desire to work in a Montessori classroom or that have Montessori experience.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Diaper changing/potty training.
- Assisting students in activities/materials.
- Follow lesson plans made by the lead teacher.
- Supervising outside play.
- Cleaning/picking up and keeping the classroom in order.
- Supervising mealtimes/bottle feeding.
Requirements:
- Experience with children between ages zero to three years.
- High School Diploma.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid with Universal Precautions.
- Pass a background check, drug screening, TB testing, and up-to-date on vaccines.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Able to follow respectful/gentle “parenting” style discipline.
- Enjoying being around and working with children.
Pay: $13 - $15 per hour depending on experience.
