Position Summary

In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Production Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations within the manufacturing team. Reporting to the General Manager, this leader ensures first-time quality is a priority while ensuring a productive work force and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations within the plant; direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the manufacturing areas.
• Responsible for executing the production plans to meet customer quality and delivery expectations; achieved by establishing work schedules and employee assignments.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment while meeting plant productivity goals.
• (Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations)
• Understand overall plant capacities and manage accordingly to meet production plan (and customer expectations).
• Lead operational team to support plant SQDC goals.
• Initiates and drives continuous improvement.
• Report daily key performance indicators (KPI) for various areas and establish action plans.
• Hold and participate in daily communication reviews on the floor with team.
• Confer with others to coordinate operations and activities within or between teams.

• Responsible for building an effective team within the production area.

• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules to determine production requirements to meet targets.

As Required:

• Identify equipment maintenance requirements for supervisory area, ensure regular maintenance of machines to ensure maximum up time.
• Maintain the equipment by ensuring basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
• Additional tasks requested.

Qualifications:

• Leadership attributes resulting in successful business results
• 8 years of experience within a (machining) manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of machining equipment and manufacturing processes
• Experience working with tight tolerances.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Must be able to work independently, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and organize plant workload.

• Proven track record of successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

• Preferred: Familiarity with the plastic injection molding process
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Management, or related field
• Preferred: Able to set up and program machining work centers
