About the Role
In the role of "Head Risk Engineering Services Energy" you support Swiss Re's Corporate Solutions (CorSo) risk selection capabilities and business aspirations (Growth plans, International Business, Digital Ambitions, etc.) and provide value beyond risk transfer.
You will be responsible for leading and shaping a specialized team of Risk Engineers around the globe. The Energy team consists of four departments: Mining, Utilities, Oil & Petrochemicals and Engineering & Construction. There are opportunities for you to engage with multiple global stakeholders from different functions around the globe.

About Risk Engineering Services
Risk Engineering Services at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is a global team that applies technical expertise to identify, analyze and evaluate risks in close cooperation with Corporate Solutions Underwriters. It also provides loss prevention service offerings directly to our customers. Among others, this provides our internal underwriters with the basis for successful risk selection, capacity allocation and accurate costing. Our team has a broad range of technical and scientific experience and is working closely with global and regional stakeholders and customers. Our excellent technical expertise is complemented by a strong team spirit looking for alternative and innovative risk assessment methods to provide value beyond risk transfer and make the world more resilient.
About You
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average.
For New York, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $208,000 to $330,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
