About the Role

We are seeking an experienced claims professional with a real passion for providing exceptional customer service. Employing excellent adjudication skills, you will independently handle professional liability claims from first notice to resolution while also working closely with the underwriting and products team.

In addition to handling claims in North America, you will work with colleagues across international regions, providing advice and insight into .

trends and exposures. You also will work with business partners to market our products and services through industry events and client meetings.

Key responsibilities include :

• Confidently navigate in both primary and excess insurance claim environments while actively managing a portfolio of Lawyers and Insurance Agents E&O claims, with responsibility for end-to-end adjudication processes
• Collaborate with internal operations, customers, and brokers to achieve the most advantageous and effective claim resolution while maintaining accurate data
• Actively engage with Client Markets and support marketing efforts by meeting with current and prospective clients
• Identify and analyze claim trends and provide high level analysis of claims portfolio results to the business
• Review, support, and assist in developing policy wordings and tailored solutions for clients
• Liaise with Actuarial, Finance, and Risk Management colleagues to share information in the management of claims, clients, and risks
• Represent and promote Swiss Re Corporate Solutions at industry conferences, client events, and professional society functions.

We are a highly skilled, professional, and experienced claims team. Our department works closely with colleagues in Client Markets, Underwriting, Products, Actuary, and HR.

Most of our team is located in the Chicagoland area, though we collaborate with various offices throughout the . and Canada.

We operate on a hybrid work model; working in the office at least 50% each week and, if desired, up to 50% from home. The ideal candidate would work from either our Chicago or Kansas City office locations.

About You

You are a self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision with strong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills. Your excellent verbal and written skills compliment your exceptional interpersonal skills!

• A university degree or equivalent is required
• A law degree is not required, but is highly desirable
• 7 years' experience handling Casualty, Lawyers and / or Insurance Agent E&O claims
• Possess or be willing to acquire adjuster licenses as needed for various jurisdictions

Required travel 5-10%
