Swiss American CDMO is Hiring a Material Handler - 1st Shift Near Carrollton, TX
Position Summary: The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for slotting of finished goods, restocking and packaging as well as organizing materials and picking batch tickets for finished goods orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
- Review of the picking area and restocking as required.
- Physical movement of inbound finished good from production or inbound staging area to pallet storage.
- Follow all SOPs but particularly follow the SOPs that are specific to the Automated Warehouse Inventory Control System ( AWS).
- Maintain the cleanliness of all assigned isles.
- Identify and correct location errors.
- Assist in the wrapping of pallets for shipping or storage.
- Properly use and maintain the forklift. Logs out, logs back in, and places forklift on charger when needed. Notify manager when need of repairs to forklift.
- Remove and discard all broken pallets from assigned area.
- Retrieves requested pallets and returns to locations once complete.
- Assist in the loading of carriers as needed.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Warehouse manager or Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 6 to 12 months material handling experience.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
- Able to follow guidelines and operating procedures established.
- Able to work on their feet for extended periods of time.
- Strong communication skills
