What does a Fleet Mechanic do at Swire Coca-Cola? As a Fleet Mechanic, you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our Medium and Heavy fleet equipment. In this role, you will perform inspections, manage repairs, and will troubleshoot problems that arise with the fleet. You play a key role in ensuring that our fleet equipment is running smoothly and help us get our trucks back on the road so we can deliver to our customers in a safe and timely manner. Shift Details: ·Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. ·On Call rotation 1 week per month. Occasional overtime required. Why Join Our Team? Responsibilities include: Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements. Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules. Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics. Requirements: 5 years minimum of experience in diagnostic, maintenance and repair of Class 7 & 8 diesel trucks and trailers High school diploma or GED equivalent required Must be able to furnish own tools Must obtain Class A CDL license & Local Safety and Emission license within 3 months of hire date Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting experience Familiarity with Welding/Fabrication Ability to learn new repair guidelines quickly Trade School is considered a plus
