Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Technician to join our IT team. As a Desktop Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and maintaining user satisfaction.
Duties:
- Provide desktop support to end-users, including hardware and software troubleshooting
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and operating systems
- Assist with software installations and upgrades
- Set up and maintain user accounts in Active Directory
- Resolve issues related to network connectivity, DNS, and other IT infrastructure components
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and enhancements
- Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems for issue tracking
- Experience with IT support tools such as SCCM for software deployment
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Active Directory for user management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
