The Back-Parts Counter Person contributes to the success of the Parts Department by being involved and adding to our customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • 1-year experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
  • Must follow and adhere to brand Guidelines & Customer Service Expectations
  • Must have a strong focus on keeping KPI scores high
  • Must be a process driven individual with the strong ability to multitask
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

Qualifications:

  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business by ensuring customer complaints are handled tactfully, promptly, with genuine concern, and per brand standards
  • Takes the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction and brand Customer Survey Score Cards by ensuring the quality and promptness of all parts requests.
  • Complete training programs and certification programs.
  • Monitors shop conditions, cleanliness and safety
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
  • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock
  • Maintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
  • Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
