We are seeking enthusiastic individuals interested in Lifeguarding in the Humble, Spring, Copperfield, Cypress, Katy, Richmond, Sugar Land, Memorial, Missouri City and surrounding areas at our neighborhood pools. We will work around your schedule; flexible hours, flexible days and it will be only during the summer months (May through September). Job Description:

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the aquatic facility and the safety of its patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies in accordance with the SWP policies and procedures. Provide quality customer service and public relations. This includes pool and facility maintenance such as brushing pool walls, cleaning pool tiles, maintaining a clean restroom, emptying trash, etc.

Qualifications:

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid
• Certification Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification Completion of SWP Pre-Season Orientation
• Must be available to work 10-25 hours per week, 5-6 days per week, including weekends and evening shifts
• Mandatory attendance and completion of all SWP In-Service Training sessions

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Thorough understanding of facility policies, procedures and rules
• Leadership qualities and public relations skills

Responsibilities:

• Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations.
• Recognizes and responds effectively to emergencies
• Inspects the aquatic facility on a daily schedule and reports unsafe conditions and equipment to pool manager
• Complete required pool paperwork and reports
• Customer Service
• Participates in mandatory weekly in-service training
