Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Barista & Cashier to join our dynamic team. As a Barista & Cashier at (Sweet Station) A Ice Cream Shop & Coffee Shop/ Bakery , you will be at the forefront of our operation, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and enjoy our delectable offerings. This role is a blend of crafting artisanal coffee, serving delightful ice cream, and handling transactions with a friendly smile.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and Serve Beverages: Expertly craft a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks to meet customer preferences. Maintain consistent quality in every cup.

Ice Cream Service: Scoop and serve ice cream, gelato, and sorbet in a wide range of flavors. Create mouthwatering sundaes, cones, and specialty ice cream treats.

Bakery Assistance: Assist in displaying and serving freshly baked goods such as pastries, cakes, and cookies. Ensure the bakery area is well-stocked and visually appealing.

Customer Interaction: Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. Provide recommendations, answer questions, and accommodate special requests.

Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, operate the cash register, and process payments using electronic payment systems. Maintain a balanced cash drawer.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the service area, equipment, and dining areas clean and organized. Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and colleagues.

Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our menu items, including ingredients, allergens, and seasonal specials. Be able to communicate this information to customers.

Upselling: Suggest additional items, such as bakery treats or add-ons to drinks, to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.

Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for coffee, ice cream, and baked goods is a plus.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
