Swedish Health Services is Hiring a Genetic Counselor Near Everett, WA

Description

Genetic Counselor - On-call/Days, Day shift, 10-hour days 7am-5pm In person, minimal remote from home, but virtual from office.

To counsel patients and referring physicians regarding risks secondary to genetic etiologies. To explain benefits, risks, and limitations of various genetic testing; and to provide appropriate follow-up to referring physicians and patients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree From a program that has achieved and maintained Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC).

  • Upon hire: Washington Genetic Counselor License

  • Well-rounded experience dealing with genetic disorders including risk assessment, ordering and interpreting genetic test results; and providing psychosocial assessment and support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Experience working with patients.
