SW is Hiring a Demand Planner Near Miami, FL

Job Description Duties and Responsibilities:

We are searching for a talented demand planner to ensure our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. Duties include estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. To be successful this candidate should be highly analytical and possess excellent communication skills. Should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting methodology.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review historical sales data, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate results.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on trends and patterns.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Effectively sourcing and costing down materials and products for manufacturing and office supply needs.
  • Follow up with all vendors to ensure prompt delivery of items, including backordered items.
  • Assist in coordinating Vendor support.
  • Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in forecasts or strategies.
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Obtain early warning data on potential inventory and shortage issues and monitor corrective actions as required.
  • Provide input on inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Prepare and maintain reports pertaining to demand planning process.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
  • Experience building and managing BOMs.
  • Experience with Domestic Purchasing within the last six years.
  • Working experience of vendor management software/ ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills in spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to effectively analyze data, identify issues and generate solutions.
  • Ability to take initiative, set priorities and take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
