Family-owned and operated for 60 years, Sutton Ag specializes in the planting and bird control needs of the Salinas Valley. Our products include various types of seed planters, harvesters, cultivation equipment, bird scare cannons, and much more. We pride ourselves in our reliability and customer service to our many long-standing customers.

Job Responsibilities:
- Present and sell company products to new/existing customers
- Resolve customer inquiries and/or equipment issues
- Identify and seek out prospective customers
- Negotiate prices & terms, and prepare sales agreements
- Use inventory software to manage orders
- In-field demonstration of products
- Delivery and set-up of equipment sold
- Site visits to troubleshoot previously-sold equipment
- Attend industry trade shows to generate new leads & meet with existing customers

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Ag Industry experience
- 2 year sales experience
- Knowledge of the Salinas Valley and vegetable farming

Desired Skills:
- Experience with farm equipment, preferably planting and harvesting equipment
- Strong customer service skills, to communicate effectively with customers and build rapport
- Mechanical know-how, to troubleshoot problems with equipment
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Confidence and self-assuredness
- Must be willing to travel and work a variable schedule
- Self-motivated; take initiative to pursue leads, with little to no direction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
