Sushi Ann in New York, NY is looking for one kitchen helper (porter/dishwasher/prep cook) to join our 24 person strong team. We are located on 38 East 51 St Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Properly wash and sort dirty dishes
- Prepare food as needed
- Keep the dishes area free of clutter and organized
- Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks
- Receive and store delivered items
- Keeping floors clean and dry throughout the shift
- Carrying trash and debris to the dumpster area
- Washing work areas, cold units, kitchen equipment, and walls•
- Maintaining and assembling the dish machine and ice maker
- Acting as an "expeditor" (also known as an "expo"): a coordinator, traffic controller between the kitchen and front desk staff) as needed
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a dishwasher
- High integrity with a great attendance record
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Experience: Previous experience preferred
