Susan Hill Interior Design is Hiring an Interior Design Assistant Near Fort Mill, SC

Job Summary:

Join our dynamic interior design team at Susan Hill Interior Design as a Design Assistant. This part-time, 1099 contractor position is ideal for individuals seeking to blend their design skills with project management capabilities in both construction and residential settings. You will provide critical support to our Lead Designer, helping to steer project visions from concept through to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Lead Designer from project inception to completion, ensuring smooth execution of project goals.
  • Develop design concepts independently while under the guidance of the Lead Designer.
  • Prepare client proposals and detailed cost estimates for furnishings and materials.
  • Proactively address problems and maintain effective communication within the design team.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and continually update our studio’s materials library to stay ahead of design trends.
  • Produce high-quality presentations and prepare for client meetings.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of furniture packages and installations.
  • Exhibit a proactive and independent work ethic, advancing projects with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate design skills with project management in construction and residential spaces.
  • High level of organizational skills to manage design and project elements precisely.
  • Excellent problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently as a contractor.
  • Resourcefulness in conducting research to find solutions and information as needed.
  • Strong communication skills within a team environment.
