3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic Direct Hire opening that will the week on Monday Nights at 7 pm to 5am 5-6 days a week depending on production schedules.
WHERE YOU FIT INMaintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial and production equipment in the production facility including service of electrical and mechanical systems; maintenance of production equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds; and compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Coordinates with managers and contractors engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and/or equipment. The position is also responsible for partnering with production management to proactively address issues or challenges and equipment needs to reduce potential downtime and schedule repairs accordingly. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Actively works with the team on all maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical voltage industrial manufacturing projects, start-ups, inspections, installation, and repair of machinery and equipment while ensuring alignment with continuous improvement efforts to ensure an effective and expedited workflow.
• Ensure effective prioritization of projects to maintain production including urgent repairs; preventive maintenance program; identifying and qualifying contractors; and ensuring necessary inventory, handling, and care of tools and equipment.
• Engages with, proactively communicates to, and supports managers of the company to ensure partnership to constantly maintain an environment of coordination and collaboration to achieve company goals.
• Timely and accurately maintains documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports.
• Conducts research and analysis of maintenance improvements to make suggestions for continuous improvement.
• Regularly monitors facilities and equipment; stays current in knowledge, understanding, and awareness of legal requirements; enforces adherence to requirements; advises management on needed actions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Maintenance required.
• Computerized Maintenance Management System experience.
• Technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and control maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Proven skill managing capital projects within budget and on time.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, holidays as needed.

WHAT WE VALUE

• Food/Beverage industry preferred. Experience PLCs preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to manage capital projects and achieve defined goals on time.
• Experience with baking and/or packaging equipment is preferred such as baggers, palletizers, robots, and sealers

WHERE YOU’LL BE WORKINGThis position will be based in our Elgin, IL manufacturing facility.
