Job Summary:
Machine Operator position is responsible for efficient and effective operation of the Chiesa production area while adhering to customer part quality requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Always ensure the safety of yourself and others. Communicate any issues to a leader as needed
• Perform daily and monthly basic machine maintenance checks - use TPM sheets
• Responsibility for, and organization of equipment and tools that are provided.
• Safely operate machine - controls settings such as programs, temperatures, speed and quantities
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and job routers. Ensure they are updated as needed.
• Responsible for timely setups and teardowns for each job order.
• Produce quality parts per work instruction and job routing. Can identify and process non-conforming parts
• Understand how to troubleshoot any issues with S3 (totes, scrap, suspending jobs, clocking in/out, material lots, setup, etc)
• Understand the production schedule goals and report scheduling issues to the Team Leader
• Understand material traceability and material return process
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work center
• Part picking and packaging
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be well motivated and able to work independently
• Train new operators and support team on an ongoing basis
• Communicate job and/or process issues with Team Leader
• Complete other duties/projects as assigned by the Area Leader or Team Leader.

Knowledge/Skills:

• High level of attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to perform or quickly learn to perform basic quality measurements/inspections.
• Must be able to effectively read charts and machine data.
• Effectively communicates with team. Works well cross functionally and strives for premium internal and external customer service.

Education/Experience:

• Past operator experience at Sur-Seal or elsewhere.
