Manufacturing Machine Operator

(Compensation $15 per hour - 1st Shift)

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, from infrared countermeasure flares that protect pilots from incoming missiles and chemical response kits designed to help safeguard life in chemical warfare attacks, to nutritious food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

Position Purpose

The Machine Operator position is responsible for setting up, maintaining and operating machinery used to create our products. This position is Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the machine is in proper working order prior to the beginning of each shift
• Meets daily production requirements set for machine while maintaining efficiency and quality standards
• Ensure timely preparation and availability of all production materials to avoid shortage during production
• Maintains clean work area including tools and equipment
• Works safely following all Company and OSHA safety protocols, including proper use of PPE
• Troubleshoot minor machine adjustments to control product quality
• Strictly adhere to job specifications and ensure quality output
• Use appropriate professional communication

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably with high-speed machinery and measurement tools
• General understanding of production procedures
• Analytical skills, with high attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and attendance record, with availability for overtime (as needed)
• Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending
• Physical strength to lift and carry 30 pounds frequently
• A positive attitude and a 'roll up your sleeves' mentality to get the job done.
