Supportive Community Innovations is Hiring an Assistant Director of ABA Therapy - Bedford Area Near Bedford, IN

Introduction:

SCI is looking to create BCBA level Managers, Assistant Directors and Directors for different locations and choosing Bedford for the first location with the Assistant Director model. The Assistant Director will serve as the Primary ABA Leader in the Bedford area. Bedford area RBTs and BCBAs (with majority of their caseload in the Bedford area) will slowly transition to reporting directly to the Assistant Director of ABA Therapy. The Bedford Care Coordinators will continue to report to the Care-Coordinator Area Manager for Bedford/Bloomington. The Assistant Director and CC Area Manager will work closely together to serve as leaders for the Bedford RBTs. The successful candidate will slowly decrease their caseload as they take on other responsibilities.

The qualified candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Current certification as a BCBA
  • Experience and training in SBT and other Trauma-informed ABA approaches
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfort with at least two other ABA assessment and treatment plan approaches
  • Openness to feedback, as well as able to give others direct and timely feedback
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • History of taking initiative in creating processes and systems to assist staff and SCI
  • Ability to contribute to systems and process development, maintenance, and improvement
  • Comfortable in an ever-changing environment and an ability to reprioritize shifting management needs
  • Leadership experience (formally or informally)
  • Solid problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
  • Patience, thoughtfulness and an ability to keep the big picture in mind
  • Strong awareness of own strengths and growth areas and when to consult with others
  • An urge to empower others in discovering their own strengths and career goals

Job Description

  • Maintain a caseload of 2 - 6 clients
  • Supervise 2 - 5 BCBAs/BCaBAs 
  • Coordinate hiring of new BCBAs/BCaBAs
  • Assist Lead Care-Coordinator with hiring if needed
  • Onboarding and training for new BCBAs/BCaBAs
  • Share cases (in addition to personal case load) with other BCBAs for training purposes
  • Provide mediations and support with challenging family and staff situations
  • Oversee and monitor BCBA/BCaBA treatment plans and progress
  • Evaluate and help advance BCBA/BCaBA development in clinical and leadership skills
  • Work closely with CC Area Manager to hire, evaluate and help advance RBT development in clinical and leadership skils
  • Work closely with Exec Director and VP of Clinical Operation on personnel matters
  • Work closely with CC Area Manager in overseeing and leading the RBTs
