-Position: Logistics Coordinator

-Shift: Mon- Fri 8am-4:30

-Pay: 20.00$ / Hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also have the following skills: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Inventory Control, Computer software, Operating Systems. 

A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following:

-Experience using a commercial WMS (warehouse management system such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA) SAP is highly preferred.

-Intermediate or higher experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams & Outlook) highly preferred.

-Experience within a Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution office environment is highly preferred.

This role will be responsible for meeting daily service level commitments. In this position you will complete various logistics tasks, such as reviewing and processing customer orders, coordinating and ensuring prompt and proper movements of shipments are scheduled and shipped on time. Manage documentation flow.

Role Purpose:

Assist in coordinating truck, rail, and international shipments. Provide communication to both shippers and carriers. Assist in coordinating and providing problem-solving and order management for customers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in coordination of export/import shipments.
• Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments.
• Track and trace all shipments.
• Update and maintain Transportation Management System(s) – SAP.
• Prepare and publish daily, weekly reports.
• Obtain data to assist in analysis on performance trends.
• Proactively identify problems to management.
• Answer and resolve basic billing questions when needed.
• Prepare client invoice packets
• Confirm rates with carriers.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• 6 months – 1 year warehouse or logistics experience, preferred
• Communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually
