AGM- High Volume and Special Event Fine Dining Restaurant

Looking for a high energy Leader how believes in delivering a great experience for team members, guests, and the community.

Salary : $85k-$95k/yr

Summary:

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing all operations for this high volume, full service, upscale restaurant and event center.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the dining areas and the supervision of all Front of the House service staff
  • Manages and performs all work activities required to maintain the efficient and effective operation of the restaurant and kitchen
  • Monitors compliance with safety and sanitation, codes of conduct, work rules, etc.
  • Sources, interviews and hires service staff, and oversees training of all new hires
  • Interfaces with guests to diffuse and resolve any issues with a proactive approach
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service procedures and administration
  • 3 years of experience as a Manager in a high volume atmosphere ($10m annually minimum)
  • Strong P&L management of prime costs; Food, Liquor, Labor, Controllables
  • Experience in accurate scheduling/forecasting
  • Leadership experience at a location with a minimum 4 star rating
  • Proven track record and progressive work history in 4 starred operations
  • Proficient Wine, Beer and Cocktail knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient at interdepartmental communication; Kitchen, Events, Sales, etc.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere with in the department and ensure that employees are appropriately trained and have an adequate work load
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years Management experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and make a positive impact
  • Strong communication
