Valley View Manor is looking to hire an RN or LP to be our next Assistant Director of Nursing!
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality of care throughout the entire facility. They will also be required to manage and train our nursing staff. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in a nursing leadership position, a strong ability to work with a team, and an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry.
Assistant Director of Nursing
Reporting to the administrator, the ADON is responsible for nursing services within our skilled nursing facility. As a leader in the organization, it is essential that the Assistant Director of Nursing understands, values, and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization in providing care to our residents and staff.
Responsibilities for Assistant Director of Nursing:
Education and Experience for Assistant Director of Nursing:
·Current RN or LPN license in the State of Minnesota
·A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a supervisory role in health care is required; experience in a nursing home setting is preferred.
·Knowledge of nursing, medical practices, and procedures; solid understanding of nursing home regulations.
·Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical terminology and situations to residents and families.
·Experience planning, organizing, developing, and evaluating programs, goals, and objectives necessary for providing quality care.
·Willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
·Strong leadership skills with experience leading a diverse team.
·Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels of an organization, residents, and family members.
