Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Cylindrical Grinder Operator for our operation in New Castle, PA. The Grinder Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for running a grinding machine to machine our forged steel rolls. 

Competitive: wage $21.50-$25.50/hr commensurate with experience, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operation of grinder
• Reviewing and interpreting blueprints
• Grinding rolls to blueprint specification
• Preventative maintenance 
• Keep complete and accurate production records
• Verify work assignments
• Maintain production requirements and specified tolerances
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally throughout shift
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous machining experience required
• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery required
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints
• Proficient in micrometers, dial indicators, etc. 
• Good math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Verifiable employment history

Must be able to pass criminal background check, drug screen and physical.

Classification: Hourly
