SUPERIOR CHOICE CREDIT UNION is Hiring a Teller Near Superior, WI

This job is one part air-traffic control, two parts five-star customer service. Not only will you be the face of our branch, but you will be the very first person a member sees when they walk in our doors. Your duty is to meet, greet, and treat our members with the utmost respect, quickly directing them to the appropriate employee or solving a problem on-the-spot.

You’re probably a good fit if:

  • People would describe you as “able to talk to a wall”; perhaps your teachers marked you as being too chatty in school
  • You have a knack for making people feel welcome and comfortable (they may even divulge their life-long secrets, minutes within meeting you)
  • You would describe yourself as “off the charts” when it comes to extroversion
  • You make friends everywhere you go, you’re a “never met a stranger” type person

We would love to know more about you—especially if you ticked off any of the above! We’re looking for someone with a bubbly personality to greet our members and help take care of their needs or direct them to the right place.

About you:

  • “Customer service” is your middle name. You live to serve and customers ask for you by name. You live by Buddy the Elf’s motto: “Smiling’s my favorite”
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced & busy environment with lots of people and moving pieces. You are willing and able to quickly help or direct members, according to their needs.
  • You are pro-credit union and ooze SCCU spirit. You know the benefits of banking with Superior Choice and can convince anyone to move their accounts with us (don’t worry, we’ll teach you)
  • You demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, you’re quick to think, research, and act. A swift and smooth doer, who will always find a way.

What you will do:

  • Greet members entering the lobby, direct traffic flow, and assist with basic teller transactions.
  • Assist members with opening and closing accounts, process transactions, and address/resolve member problems, inquiries, or complaints. Refer problems to supervisor as needed, along with recommendations for resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products or services to members.
  • Maintain accurate member account information on the computer system and prepare required reports for management.
  • Acts as liaison between members and various departments.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Your experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Must be able to use basic office equipment such as computers, email, spreadsheets, calendars, photocopiers, and scanners.
  • Customer service experience is a plus, but customer service attitude is a must!
