Job Description: Programmer/Analyst
The State University of New York, College of Technology at Delhi is seeking a full-time Programmer/Analyst. This position will be a vital member of SUNY Delhi's CIS Enterprise Systems team that provides service and support to assist the campus achieve its goals.

The Programmer/Analyst will assist in the development, programming, testing and implementation of applications to support Ellucian Banner and other campus enterprise systems. The Programmer/Analyst will develop reports using database reporting tools. They will work closely with various technical and functional departments developing solutions to meet the users' requirements.

Responsibilities (could include but are not limited to):

  • Assist in designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, supporting and documenting computer-based software and programs, file structures, reports and procedures.
  • Serve as department liaison and provide on-going support to functional departments.
  • Develop documentation and develop and conduct training sessions for new and existing users.
  • Assist and advise end users in the resolution of routine issues
  • Troubleshoot, identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Recommend enhancements that improve program performance and/or application processing.
Job Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience working with end-users
  • Coursework or experience with procedural and object-oriented programming SQL and relational databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to simplify complex technology concepts
  • Experience working on multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to efficiently work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability and motivation to stay current on and learn technology related to the position
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution with 2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications):

  • Experience in a Higher Education environment working with a student information system
  • Experience writing technical specifications and developing solutions for software applications and systems
Additional Information:
  • Salary: $48,000
  • Full-time, 12-month position
  • Budget Title: Programmer Analyst, SL2
  • Reports to: Manager of Enterprise Systems
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, occasional evening and weekend shifts and occasional multi-day travel
