About the Role

To supervise and coordinate the production activities of assigned areas in the plant, meeting quantity and quality of products within specifications and costs as set by the plant.

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
• Provide visible leadership in manufacturing department operations
• Provide daily leadership, guidance, and direction for direct and indirect reports
• Examine production schedule to determine when production is due
• Collaborate with plant manager and superintendent to solve work-related problems
• Responsible for specific area(s)
• Responsible for all production, quality, and safety of area of department
• Pushes schedule for department
• Reduces OT
• Increases efficiency (machines and manhour per ton)
• Reduces scrap
• Disciplines/accountability for late breaks, poor work, etc.
• Reinforce values

Qualifications

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 1 years of experience with demonstrated progression of increase responsibility
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, forklift operation, and modern technology
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Physical Requirements

• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
