Sunshine Enterprises is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Chicago, IL. Sunshine Enterprises fosters economically viable communities through training, coaching and connecting high potential entrepreneurs. Sunshine Enterprises’ mission is to empower high-potential entrepreneurs living in under-resourced neighborhoods to grow their businesses and transform their communities. Sunshine Enterprises’ vision is to establish neighborhood and sector-based business hubs in Chicago’s under-resourced neighborhoods. Currently we serve hundreds of unique entrepreneurs throughout the Chicago area in three main geographic hubs servicing neighborhoods such as Woodlawn, South Shore West Evanston, Humboldt Park and North Lawndale. Each of these hubs has been strategically placed in areas suffering from a lack of jobs, marketplace resources, and growth opportunities. These hubs provide an economic stimulus to the communities by supporting local entrepreneurs. SE also has developed specialty hubs focused on the property management, construction trades, arts & makers, and tech & digital industries as well as a Spanish-speaking hub on the West Side.

SE’s core programs are the Community Business Academy (CBA), Business Acceleration Services (BAS), and Credit to Capital (C2C). The CBA is a twelve-session, 36-hour course in business basics. SE graduates over 200 graduates per year from the CBA. BAS involves services to graduates including coaching, workshops, events, alumni network, and pitch competitions. The Credit to Capital (C2C) program offers assistance to under-resourced entrepreneurs and small business owners on their journeys to securing capital. Through one-on-one guidance and trusted relationships with various lenders, C2C provides technical assistance around issues of personal finance and credit, loan packaging, and business strategy to ensure successful business growth.

About the Role: 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Credit to Capital Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects related to workshops and coaching sessions, including coordinating workshop attendance, handling lunch requests, and providing audio/video support for workshops.

Responsibilities:

• Manage workshop attendance reports in Salesforce campaigns
• Handle workshop lunch requests and ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with the marketing department for newsletter announcements related to workshops
• Coordinate coaching session no call/no shows and reschedule accordingly
• Provide audio/video support for workshops, including Zoom and online social media streams

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing events and workshops - at least 1-2 years experience
• Proven experience with data entry. (Familiarity with Salesforce campaigns and Eventbrite for managing workshop attendance and registrations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Knowledge of audio/video equipment and online streaming platforms (e.g., Zoom)
• Background in customer service or event coordination - 1-2 years experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience coordinating events or workshops in a non-profit or community-based organization.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support for audio/video equipment and online streaming platforms.
• Background in customer service or client-facing roles, particularly in a non-profit or social services setting.
• Additional certifications or training related to event management, audio/video technology, or customer service.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
