Human Resources Generalist

Company Overview: Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Human ResourcesGeneralist with successful and progressive experience in providingoverall Human Resources support and guidance on company policies and proceduresto Leadership and Team Members in our Central Florida region. The positionsupports the Region Office, Asphalt Plant, Paving Operations, Fleet andConstruction job sites by providing consultation and collaboration in allfunctional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to effectiveTeam Member relations, benefits, training, and recruitment. Works with HRleadership and Regional leaders to collaboratively communicate and implement HRpolicies and procedures, while helping support business strategy. Acts as anadvocate for Team Members, communicate benefit programs, work with managers onperformance management issues, perform investigations, and escalate issues asneeded. 

PositionSummary: Thesuccessful candidate shall have a minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in the Human Resources field orrelated area

Responsibilities:

·Serve as acoach to leadership to ensure effective Team Member relations in matters ofsupervision, discipline, termination, motivation and performance managementprocedures, practices and policies.

·Work withBenefits Administrator to ensure Team Members understand company benefitsprograms and resolve claims issues.

·Lead cultureand engagement for the region by ensuring effective communications whichfosters an open-door culture.

·Act as a TeamMember advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitabletreatment.

·Work withmanagement to drive the performance management process, development plans, andindividual performance improvement plans for Team Members in the region.

·Partner withHR colleagues and field leadership team in development and execution of humanresources and recruitment initiatives to meet business goals.

·Providesindividual coaching/counseling to all Team Members using conflict resolutionand mediation techniques, intervention and change management strategies ascircumstances dictate.

·Conduct timelyand thorough complaint/charge investigations and makes appropriaterecommendations. Prepares case findings and recommendations for review by HumanResources and Legal Department.

·Leverage theexit interview and survey process and related turnover data to identify andaddress retention issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor'sDegree with a concentration in Human Resources Management is required

BilingualSpanish is required

Ability tomaintain a high level of confidentiality.

Must haveinitiative, integrity, strong work ethic, good communication and analyticalskills.

Excellent timemanagement, organizational skills

Computerskills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
