Primary Responsibilities:
• Plans and administers work for staff; includes day-to-day supervision of staff.
• Monitors status of incoming orders with Logistics.
• Ensures changes are made with production schedules.
• Manage teams to receive and inspect product, both transfers and purchases.
• Ensures Receiving, Shipping & Production work together to fill orders in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met.
• Keeps stock control systems up-to-date.
• Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers; notifies Warehouse and Commodity
Managers of quality issues on inbound or outbound product.
• Overseeing inventory control and processing orders.
• Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including
personnel information.
• Makes sure all skids going/leaving racks are stacked properly.
• Ensures product is slotted/shipped correctly.
• Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Follow Commodity Specialist allocations and change orders as needed.
• Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce.
• Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress.
• Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
• Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Tracks trailers in yard.
Education/Background Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous managerial experience required.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally,
present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external contacts.
• Willingness to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity.
• Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws and requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant
statues and guiding principles (FDA, USDA, MIOSHA, OSHA, CFIA).
Working Conditions:
• Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 70 degrees
F and occasionally down to 55 degrees. The background noise approaches 70dcbs.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
