The Weitz Company is seeking a Financial Solution Analyst to join our Back Office Team in our Des Moines, IA Corporate office.

Our Back Office Team is growing and looking for an inquisitive, knowledge-driven individual with good problem-solving abilities and a fundamental knowledge of accounting concepts.

What You’ll Do Every Day:

• Collaborate with the Accounting department to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial systems.
• Provide advanced technical support for the Accounting, Payroll, HR, and Finance departments.
• Assist project teams with the implementation and maintenance of software upgrades and implementations. 
• Maintain confidentiality; be attentive of social networking pitfalls where confidentiality could be leaked.
• Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Some business travel may be required.
• Minimal after-hours work may be required.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Desired Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an accounting related field is required. Experience in an IT-related role is desirable. 
• Skills: Organization, business acumen, time management, problem solving, effective communication, attention to detail, initiative, discretion with sensitive and confidential information, adaptability, and prioritization abilities are all necessary skills for this role.
• Education: An Associate’s degree in an IT or business-related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. A combination of education and technical experience may be considered.
• Technology: Proficiency with operating systems and basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Employee must have the ability to learn other specific software.
