Used Car Salesperson Non-ExemptJob Summary:As a Used Car Salesperson, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while selling pre-owned vehicles. In this role you will need to be efficient, ambitious, organized and strive to meet daily, weekly and monthly vehicle sales quotas, while working with the public. As with all positions within dealerships, this role is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.Essential Functions:Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needsEstablishing and fulfilling daily, weekly, and monthly prospecting and sales goals and objectives defined by Sales ManagerExplaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchaseMaintaining comprehensive and up to date knowledge of products and services offered for sale, while effectively presenting, demonstrating, and explaining features and benefits of appropriate vehicles and aftermarket products and servicesOffering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedures to obtain proper identification prior to test driveKeeping abreast of new products, features, and accessories available, and translating their benefits to customersReferring closed deals to the finance and insurance (F&I) manager along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.)Preparing sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperworkIntroducing customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available at the dealershipFollowing up on all post delivery items, including tag/title work, and any special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are metMaintaining a buyer follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfactionOther duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentValid California state sales licenseValid Driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California within 30 daysAbility to lift up to 15 poundsAbility to perform all essential functions of the job description Preferred Qualifications Previous automotive sales experienceExcellent sales and customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to recognize customer’ needsAbility to operate the stores point of sales (POS) system Physical Demands: Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears.
