Our Sage Springs Pickleball team is looking to hire for a supervisor position! The Pickleball Supervisor is responsible for successfully overseeing the Sunriver Resort pickleball operations. S/he will develop and implement pickleball programs to ensure overall financial success. S/he will train and motivate staff to provide the most exceptional guest service, as well as maintain the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

The Pickleball Supervisor shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture. The Pickleball Supervisor will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:Trust, Commitment, and Open & Honest communication

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival
• Manages pickleball membership including onboarding and receiving monthly dues
• Organize pickleball clinics, open play, round robins, private lessons, tournaments and resort group play
• Operates the pickleball hut
• Checks guests in, books reservations and processes payment
• Oversees the successful pickleball operation at the resort
• Updates pickleball marketing material
• Manages pickleball member communication including regular newsletters
• Develops and maintains information in CourtReserve
• Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the pickleball facilities
• Works with HR to recruit and hire pickleball staff
• Completes all new hire and termination paperwork
• Responsible for the training and development of pickleball staff
• Plans and conducts staff meetings as necessary
• Coaches and counsels team
• Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate
• Responsible for overseeing the pickleball hut
• Maintains pickleball retail including food & beverage options
• Handles purchasing and inventory control for pickleball
• Responsible for the proper scheduling of pickleball staff
• Works with Director of Sage Springs to develop annual budget
• Motivates and encourages guests
• Upsells other resort services and amenities to guests
• Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
• Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
• Attends all appropriate department and resort meetings
• Communicates all pertinent information to the Pickleball team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two or Four year degree from accredited college or university preferred
• At least one year supervisor experience required
• Prior hotel/resort experience preferred
• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified
• Must have excellent knowledge of the game of pickleball
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
• Must possesses excellent communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand, walk throughout the day, running frequently, with quick stops and starts
• Must be able to bend, & twist on an frequent basis and occasionally squat
• Must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to perform overhead and side reaching, repetitive hand & arm movements, simple grasping and squeezing, frequently, & fine manipulation occasionally.
