Summary:  

PCT|Sunrise is a progressive crop technology (PCT) company that is locally owned by Sunrise Cooperative, Inc. PCT offers a product lineup that encompasses precise blends of starter fertilizers, foliars, finishers, adjuvants, bio-stimulants, micronutrients, seed treatments, herbicides and nitrogen stabilizers that contribute to healthy crops. PCT products are specially formulated to help improve plant health and enhance crop protection strategies at precise times throughout the growing season.

The PCT Technical Sales Lead role is responsible for being the support link between our sales organization and the PCT division.

This role is a key member of the PCT Team, reporting to the Sales, Marketing and Strategy Lead. The PCT Technical Sales Lead will work closely with the Agronomy Division to drive PCT sales while upholding Sunrise Cooperative’s goals and values and result in profitability, increased market share and ultimately shared success for both the customer and Sunrise Cooperative. Excellent communication and organizational skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethic are key attributes to this position.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Be the Technical Sales Lead for PCT|Sunrise for southern agronomy branch locations: South Charleston, Uniopolis, Starbuck, and Osgood

• Learn and understand all PCT products, become the PCT product expert

• Work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) in the territory to understand the needs of the regions relevant to PCT

• Communicate the needs of the territory to the PCT Team

• Attend bi-weekly sales meetings, a minimum of one per month per location in person

• Accompany ASAs on farms calls to customers/prospects

• Spend a minimum of 3 days/week with ASAs in the territory on farm calls to customers/prospects

• Collaborate with the PCT Agronomist and PCT Research Agronomist to develop and rollout training curriculum to Agronomy Solutions Advisors (ASAs)

• Work with the PCT Research Agronomist to implement PCT plot protocol at plot locations in the territory

• Attend PCT Team meetings

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a sales/agronomist role

• Strong understanding and passion for utilization of bio-stimulants and biologicals outside of traditional agriculture

• Passion for understanding crop nutrients and improving a farmer’s crop nutrient plan

• Proficient with MS Office programs (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills

• High level of communication skills

• Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in relevant role in agriculture

• BS/BA (4-year degree from accredited university) preferred but not required

• Some overnight travel required

• Ability to lift 60 lbs
